Larry Price named CEO of Limestone Medical Center.
Limestone Medical Center is proud to announce Larry Price Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Price has dedicated over thirty years of service as a manager to the hospital. Many roles he has held in his tenure with LMC have been dual leadership positions within the organization. Price’s career began with LMC on June 1, 1982 as the Director of Radiology and he continues to serve as the Radiation Safety Officer for the hospital. For fifteen years Price held the role of Quality Improvement Coordinator, for seven years as the Compliance Officer, for five years he served as the Family Medicine Center Manager, and for the past seven years Price has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for LMC.
Price’s experience in leadership and management roles within the hospital plus his educational background will serve as an asset in his new position as CEO with LMC. His education started with an Associate Degree in Applied Science, and once he decided this was going to be a lifelong career for him, Price continued his education by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Care Administration in which he made the Dean’s List each and every semester and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
The Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals (TORCH) held their 2012 Leadership and Management Institute Conference and Retreat on September 5-6 in Austin. During this retreat TORCH presents their inaugural leadership awards at the Award Luncheon. Larry Price was honored at this year’s luncheon and received the Essence of Leadership Award. This award is presented to individuals for their outstanding leadership, service and contribution to health care, and for making a significant impact in their organizations and communities. David Pearson, President/CEO of TORCH says, “These awards highlight the strong leadership that exists in rural facilities throughout Texas.”
