Dr. Rahaman has been practicing in Groesbeck for over 30 years. Licensed in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland, he practices Family Medicine now but performed General Surgery and OBGYN for many years. Dr. Rahaman comes from a family of eight doctors and intended to be a doctor since his youth. He loves what he does!

Since 1988, Dr. Rettig, a board-certified family practice physician, has had his practice in Groesbeck. He offers the full range of services for the entire family. Dr. Rettig graduated from Iowa State University in 1983, then went on to graduate from Kirksville college of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri in 1987. He then completed further training and internship in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Groesbeck. Dr. Rettig is also a Fellow of the American College of Family Practice. He and his wife Roxanne have 4 children.
Larry Hughes, D.O.

Dr. Hughes graduated from the Universityof Notre Dame in 1976. He went onto the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy in 1980. He is Board Certified in Family Practice. Besides his general family practice, Dr. Hughes has a particular interest in addiction medicine. He has received a special DEA number which allows him to treat Opiod (pain pill) addicted patients with buprenorphine (Suboxone) in his office setting.
Dr. Hughes established his first Practice in Mooresville, Indiana in 1981. He moved to Limestone County and began his practice here in April of 1992.He and his wife, Janice, live in the Groesbeck area. They have been blessed so far with 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dr. Hughes is a Christian physician and enjoys Bible study, hunting, fishing, photography, and gardening.

Family practitioner, Dr. Matlock, enjoys practicing full range Family Medicine including inpatient hospital work and nursing home coverage, but has taken a special interest in pediatrics. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, then continued on to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After completing his residency in family practice in Tyler, he joined Dr. Rettig in 1999. Dr. Matlock is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with certification in Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Kenneth Lomenzo graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Biology and received his medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Lomenzo came to Family Medicine Center after a residency at Ohio State University. Dr. Lomenzo is married and has 4 children.

Dr. Newman is a family medicine doctor who treats the broad scope of health needs, from infants to the elderly. Upon completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Newman attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Ft. Worth. After completing his residency in family medicine at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine in Kingsport, Tennessee, he joined Dr. Rettig in 2002.
Frank Boyd, D.O.

Dr. Frank Boyd graduated with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board eligible in Family Medicine. He finished his three year Family Medical residency at St. Joseph Hospital in College Station, Texas. He is currently enjoying Family Practice at Limestone Medical Center’s Family Medicine Center where he sees Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients. Dr. Boyd says he believes God gave him the gift to want to help people and that medicine seemed to come natural to him. It was “a calling more than an inspiration”. Dr. Boyd has a wife who is a BSN (Nurse) and 2 daughters. His oldest daughter, Chelsea is a Psychology major and Ashleigh enjoys painting.

A Stanford trained Neurosurgeon and Diplomat of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Zielinski began his career in 2002 in California. He relocated to Waco in 2007 and opened his private practice, Texas Spine & Neurosurgery,in 2010. Dr. Zielinski has received numerous awards and honors for his work, has been published, and has served on multiple committees promoting neurosurgical health. He is happy to be expanding his service area throughout the Central Texas area and looks forward to seeing patients in his Groesbeck clinic, beginning May, 2013.

Susan Bond received her B.S.N. and her M.S.N. from the University of Texas with major areas of study in Family Nurse Practitioner. Susan started her career in Groesbeck in 1992 and later opened Bond Family Health Clinic in January of 1996, where she provides primary health care in a private practice for all age groups and nursing home patients. Susan is very passionate about diabetes education and helping patients learn to manage this disease; she has been a licensed Diabetes Educator for over 15 years. Susan’s professional memberships include: American Nurses Assoc., Texas Nurses Assoc. and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Assoc. of Diabetes Educators and American Diabetes Assoc. and Texas Rural Health Assoc. .

Veronica Harris received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. Mrs. Harris comes to Family Medicine Center with years of experience in the medical field previously serving as the Nurse Practitioner for Central Texas Urology in Waco, TX. Mrs. Harris can provide many Women’s Health services including: clinical breast exams, pap smears, and well-women exams. In addition to Women’s Health, she will be providing care for the entire family. Mrs. Harris is married to Mike and together they had three children: Zachary, Hayley, and Matthew.

Gayle Ann Hackbarth moved here from Austin where she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Family Practice Center. Educated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Texas, Ann has more than 32 years experience in health care. Ann and her husband, Harvey, reside in the Twin Points subdivision at Lake Limestone. She is available for appointments at the Family Medicine Center, every Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Gordon Lee, PA-C joined the Limestone Medical Center Medical Staff in 2010. Mr. Lee has lived in Limestone County for the last 17 years serving the community and practicing medicine in Mexia since 2005. With over 25 years experience in primary care and in family practice Mr. Lee is a valued member of our organization.

Dr. Chris Rand has been part of the Groesbeck community his entire life. He graduated in 1990 from Groesbeck High School. Four years later, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Texas A&M University. In 2000, he graduated with his Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Davie, Florida. Dr. Rand is married to his wife, Deana who has been teaching for 10 years. She is currently a 5th grade teacher at Groesbeck Elementary. Their children, Dylan and Carley attend school in Groesbeck. Dr. Rand is a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist. Since 2001 Dr. Rand has co-managed almost 6000 LASIK procedures and 1000 cataract procedures.

Dr. Steven Huffman grew up in Pasadena Texas, but spent a good deal of his childhood in the close by community of Donie. He spent many days helping his grandfather, and other family members on a small family ranch. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College in 1988.
